[Xuanji Nianxiang Zhongtang|Nishang traces the charm of the Tang Palace]
This scroll deeply explores the artistic conception of Bai Juyi's "Icy Silk and Plain Hands." The flowing folds of the garments evoke the translucent rhythm of Zhou Fang's "Hairpin Flower" silk scroll, while the clanging rings and pendants embody the needlework of Gu Xiu's late Ming Dynasty embroidery, creating a new style of meticulous color dyeing. The plain silk has been dyed nine times and polished three times using the ancient method, and the cinnabar glaze evokes the essence of "璿璣承露" (a kind of dew-bearing pattern) from the "Etiquette of Tang Palace Ladies." The meticulous reproduction reaches the exacting standards of "Nichang Study," with each thread undergoing thirty years of silk cocooning. Compared to more common figurative reproductions, the drapery of the garments in this scroll is more deeply rooted in the Tang and Song dynasties. More than a mere reproduction of elegant demeanor, this exquisitely crafted scroll fuses the elegance of the imperial court with the essence of Jiangnan weaving, a truly collectible silk masterpiece that continues the legacy of "Red Sleeves Adding Fragrance" and embodies the essence of the boudoir.
