[Daqian Ladies' Center|Neon-like Clothes and Colorful Dunhuang Soul]
This scroll embodies the authentic mastery of Yuan Weng's "re-brushstrokes" technique of refreshing the spirit. The fluttering sleeves of a fairy resemble a soaring celestial being, the caisson ceiling shimmering with rosy clouds, while the layers of dye on her hair evoke the lingering charm of Tang Dynasty Zhou Fang's silken works. The silk has undergone the ancient method of "nine-grain and nine-alum-glue," resulting in a rouge-like hue that echoes the "three-alum and nine-dye" principle described in Dafengtang Huashuo. The meticulous reproduction reaches the level of "imperial copying," with every stroke meticulously tempered by the interplay of Dunhuang mineral colors and splashed ink. Compared to more common reproductions of ladies, this scroll reveals the image of Daqian's journey to enlightenment. This is more than just a recreation of the form and spirit of a silken figure; it truly fuses the strength of the Yongle Palace murals with the subtlety of the Song Dynasty court style. Few contemporary examples can embody the essence of the legendary ink aesthetic of "Heavenly Girl Scattering Flowers."
