[Fengmian New Realm｜A Replica of a Treasure Combining Chinese and Western Art] This work embodies the exquisite blend of color and ink by Lin Gong, seamlessly integrating the color blocks of Matisse with the ethereal spirit of Song Dynasty landscapes. Utilizing a unique technique reminiscent of the ancient Xuanjing technique of six alums and five dyes, the vibrant colors and ink resemble glazed glass reflecting the rosy clouds. The breakthrough composition alludes to the subtle "square paper formation" of "Autumn Beauty." This imitation, reaching the "Meizhou Study Level," demonstrates a modern, innovative approach to ink painting, surpassing conventional landscapes. Beyond a mere pursuit of likeness, it truly recreates a masterpiece of the fusion of Chinese and Western influences from the collection of the Republican Art College, a rare example of the Fengmian style.
