[Mo Jie Xuexi Zhongtang | Green Bones and Smoke-filled Forbidden Garden Soul]
This scroll captures the profound essence of Youcheng's "Breaking the Ink Zen Realm." The mountainous landscape, shrouded in mist, resembles Buddha's light, shimmering through the silk, creating a vibrant aura. The water veins conceal the moon, inheriting the golden and jade-like charm of Generals Li and Li. The silk is dyed with layers of dye, employing the secret technique of the Nine-Dye Method. The shrouded clouds allude to the cosmic order of "a mountain a foot tall, a tree a foot tall" as described in the "Landscape Secrets." The meticulous imitation technique, exacting the standards of "Forbidden Gardens," has been meticulously refined, with every inch meticulously polished using the vibrant green and blue subtly dyed technique of the High Tang Dynasty. Compared to more common landscape reproductions, this scroll reveals the Zen spirit of Wang Meng's poetry. This is more than just a refined spatial creation of forests and springs; it truly embodies the ancestral spirit of Wangchuan poetry and the water marks of Wu Zhuang style. Few contemporary works of this kind can embody the philosophical essence of Zen painting in the vein of "Snowy Stream."
