[Yueyi Tie Ancient Rhyme｜A Replica of Zhangcao by a Master] This long scroll, inspired by the ancient technique of You'an's "silver hook and tail" technique, blends the essence of seal and oracle scripts with the unadorned charm of Han bamboo slips. Made from specially selected parchment paper, carefully processed through seven incubations and nine dryings, the ink's rich, hued texture evokes the windswept sand of Dunhuang, while the flowing, undulating strokes allude to the subtle "folding knife" technique of the Yueyi Tie (Yueyi Tie). This imitation, reaching the standard of "Dunhuang study," captures the original spirit of Western Jin Dynasty zhangcao (official cursive script) more than ordinary calligraphy.
