[Orchid and Bamboo Rhythm Center|Ink Fun Blends Inscriptions and Calligraphy into a New Realm]
This scroll inherits the essence of Kerou's "Random Stone Pavement" style, its aura and unconventionality reminiscent of the vibrant patterns of Xuan paper in "It's a Rare Thing to Be Confused." Its sharp, bold characters, inspired by "The Buried Crane Epitaph," create a unique style of six-and-a-half-point calligraphy. The jade block, crafted through nine sharpenings and eight soakings, is a secret process, incorporating pine soot and alum, evoking the "heaven-shaking and earth-revealing" principle of "Banqiao's Painting Inscription." The meticulous craftsmanship of this imitation reaches the level of "exquisite study," with each stroke tempered by thirty years of Zen meditation. Compared to more common calligraphy reproductions, this piece reveals a distinct connection to Han and Wei dynasty stele inscriptions. Beyond merely inheriting form, it is a connoisseur-level paper that embodies the spirit of a whimsical scholar and the tastes of a scholar. It offers a glimpse into the true essence of the Eight Eccentrics, as exemplified by "Xiaoxiang Wind and Rain."
