【Banqiao Qingyun|Yangzhou Yipin replica treasure】
These four panels capture the exquisite charm of the "Six-and-a-half-point" script, seamlessly blending the unadorned cursive style of Xu Wei with the rustic simplicity of seal and oracle script. Crafted from specially selected Xuan paper, they have been treated using the ancient method of five-alum-seven-dyeing. The clear, vigorous ink evokes the image of slender bamboos swaying in the wind, while the interwoven branches and leaves allude to the "stone-paved street" of the painting "Ink Bamboo." This reproduction, reaching the "Xinghua Study Level," embodies the innovative spirit of the Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou, surpassing more common bamboo paintings. Beyond mere resemblance, this masterpiece recreates the spirit of the literati of the Qianlong era, a rare contemporary example of Banqiao bamboo.
