【Changshuo Jinshi|Shanghai Style Lotus Style Replica Treasure】
This central hall painting captures the essence of Fou Weng's "Stone Drum Brushwork," seamlessly blending the ancient simplicity of seal script and the seamless flow of splashed ink. Selected Xuan paper was treated using the ancient method of seven alums and six dyes, resulting in a rich, mellow ink hue reminiscent of dew on bronze vessels. The curved, iron-like lotus stems allude to the subtle "cursive seal script" of "Red Lotus." This reproduction, reaching the "Anji Study Level," embodies the Shanghai School of calligraphy and stone carving, surpassing more common flower paintings. Beyond mere resemblance, this masterpiece recreates the spirit and aura of the founding father of the late Qing Dynasty's stone and stone painting school, a rare and exceptional example of its time.
